Gossip Girl Fashion styles - Serena Van Der Woodsens

Recently, I was addicted to US series, Gossip girl.
The show actually came out on 2007 and now already in Season 2
Well, I really appreciate several styles hosted by the casts.

I was very admired the character Serena Van Der Woodsens, starred by Blake Lively
Serena's sense of style on the show is said to be "inspired by Kate Moss". That means that she mixes lots of fashion-forward and vintage pieces together for a look that is "boho chic" with rocker-check edge.

On the show, she is not afraid to wear something crazy if she's in love with it, can throw anything on and make it look effortlessly fabulous, and she will never leave the house without putting a unique spin on her outfit. There is also always an element of classic chic that gets thrown into the mix. Generaly, she wears in every colour, most I can see is with details in gold or metalic.

Serena's Wordarobe Essentials
1. Well-Cut Jacket
Serena is pretty much always wearing a jacket, they are still definitely one of her signature looks. She has quite a collection of every type of jacket: long, short, cropped, leather, wool and everything in between.

2. Skinny Jeans
Serena's skinny jeans always matches with a pair of boots. But boots is so suitable due to the weather in singapore.

3. Dresses
Serena is always wearing dresses that have unexpected details to express her quirky style. In the show, we can see different dresses with something unexpected about them :studs, sequins, patterns or a pretty design.

4. Vest
Different types of vests was wore by her on the show. There are vests in white, jeans material, black to mix and match with the skinny jeans and skirts.

Serena's Accessories
She make the look fashion-forward and unique by adding lots of fabulous accessories.

1. Boots
In the show, she pairing the boots with skinny jeans & tees, dresses and even her preppy school uniform.

2. Layered Necklace
Serena has lots of necklace. Her necklace are usually long, hitting above belly button and she layers them for a bohemian look.

3. Bags
I love most of the bags she carried. My favourite is Celine Watch Me Work Bag. There are also different version of Chanel bag on the show.

4. Scarf Type Headband
There are different colours or texture of scarf being used whether of not she tied her hair or leave on shoulder.

18/03/2009 no more from U.R.S

Today I went for Access Developer course at Amara Hotel. I will spend 3 days over there. Overall I think the courses was quite useful and should be able to apply on work. There are a few fashion shops there, some having discounts and promotions. This few days I was very wanted to look for a jacket, they called it boyfriend jacket which is in longer length and to make the body look even taller. I happened to saw one in one of the shop and got it tried on. Em, the design is just ok for me and I would rather continue to hunt for a better piece. Here's the picture i try on:


After that meeting my cousin in Orchard was accompanying my cousin to shop for a bag. For myself, I collected my voucher from Isetan and purchases some facial products from Clinique.

Sunday, another school day, a rainy day.

I was late for class today. We are using the classroom in new campus. The layout of the class room was so funny. We have to really turn our head aside to see the white board.

Exam results are out, I am so glad that I passed the subjects. Now i only left one last semester which the lessons will start this weekend. Hope everything getting smooth :)

Decided to take a walk at AMK hub before heading home. Sometimes I managed to find some good stuff there.

Passed by a shop named Ella,
I was attracted in by a black dress. The one previously I saw selling at 69 was having promotion at 29. Then I saw a white dress hanging there together with the black one. Initially she don't allow me to try on cos she thought that I might not be able to fit in. I suprises her then after all.

This outlet in AMK hub is usually for sales items. I found one top which is quite nice with two color, grey and black.

So tired for the day, I was yet to recover from exam. I am supposed to watch "He is just not that into you". But I was just too tired to carry on with the plan. Lying on the bed seems to be a better idea for me.
